Due to continued growth in business, we are recruiting a Graduate Apprentice Design Engineer/ Project Manager.

Job Overview

From your first day as a Graduate Apprentice you will be an active engineering team member working as part of our Engineering Project team. You’ll be involved in developing, delivering and supporting features from start to finish within the full range of our products and engineering services. You will be well supported from each and every employee within the company as you grow into your new career. This apprenticeship offers a great opportunity for candidates looking to build a successful and rewarding career in engineering.

Starting Salary £12,555 1st year, rising to 2nd year £15,693. 3rd year £18,832, 4th year £21,771.

What Will I Learn?

We pride ourselves on offering our apprentices learning and development opportunities that will support your progress in a stable and technically challenging environment. Through a structured training plan we will enable you to achieve both career progression and your goal of achieving a professional recognised engineer status in the future. You will undertake the triple accredited Graduate Apprenticeship BEng (Honours) Engineering Design & Manufacture (Engineering: Design & Manufacture ) work based degree with our University Partner, University of Strathclyde,  commencing in September 2022 for 4 years.

Through the Graduate Apprentice degree studies, you will acquire underpinning knowledge and understanding via a blended and online learning delivery mode with core engineering competencies (UK Standards for Professional Engineering Competence, IEng) being developed through an integrated work-based learning curriculum.

You should have a passion for a future career in engineering and see this as a great opportunity to work and study through the next 4 years and beyond. We are looking for a good communicator and team player. Someone with excellent listening skills with energy, drive and initiative.

What Qualification Are Required?

Standard entry for new employees applying directly from school: SQA Higher: BBBB including Maths and ideally Physics, plus Nat 5 English at C. We accept selected Foundation Apprenticeships, in combination with SQA Highers, for entry to our degree programmes.

Your Foundation Apprenticeship will take the place of one SQA Higher qualification from our standard entry requirements and be treated as the equivalent to a B grade at Higher.

Must be existing resident in Scotland, and have right to work.

Start date: September 5th 2022.
