Burnhouse Engineering, Grand Designs

Burnhouse Engineering was approached by Blast architects, to assist in the design and manufacture of a unique staircase. The house was to be featured on the Channel 4 Grand Design program.

We were delighted to be able to assist with this project to create a feature that was complimentary to the surroundings.

We were faced with a difficult challenge to design and install a stair to a tight budget with a fast approaching deadline for the TV program. Our brief was complicated and costly; however we redesigned the stair, simplified the design, and were therefore able to use stainless steel to achieve a great finish.
